Embarking on the transition from SDI Baseband to IP infrastructure in broadcasting can be overwhelming. But fear not! Our upcoming live Broadcast2Post podcast episode, "Migrating Baseband To IP: SMPTE, NDI, Dante, and More," is here to help.
In the television industry, SDI Baseband technology has served us well with its routers, coax cables, and BNC connectors. However, the future lies in IP-based video/audio workflows, offering flexibility and cost-effectiveness. While early adopters have already embraced IP network architectures, the widespread migration is still in progress.
Transitioning to IP infrastructure requires effort from broadcasters and suppliers, reminiscent of the analog-to-digital TV transformation that took over a decade. This convergence of Broadcast and IT disciplines demands cross-functional skills and knowledge, keeping the industry busy for years to come.
As we move away from proprietary technology, new workflows will emerge, reshaping the production landscape. The migration from SDI Baseband to IP Video Routing/Networking is essential and timely- and don't forget about audio!
Join us on Broadcast2Post, where our expert speakers will address pain points and provide solutions for a smooth transition. Don't miss this chance to navigate the future of broadcasting with confidence.
